Fluorat A-serisi Otomatik Flow Extraction Analizör
Principle of operation. The instruments employ the fluorescence technique of quantitative chemical analysis and perform the following cyclic operations:
Description
|
|
- metered sampling extraction from a water flow by a built-in pump
- reagent feed
- measuring of concentrations of components
- calibration for checking the metrological characteristics

Various versions of these instruments are intended for stand-alone unattended continuous monitoring of the content of petroleum hydrocarbons (PHC), aluminum, active chlorine (ClO-), ozone, and surfactants in potable, natural and waste water or for assaying a series of samples using the fluorescence technique.

The instruments comprise a sample preparation unit and a FLUORAT®-type luminescence detector. The sample preparation unit provides metered feed and switching of the water and gas flows, and control of temperature, mixing and mass-exchange processes. These functions are performed by metering pumps and switching valves, which afford operation with various liquids (water, organic, alkaline, and acid solutions), connecting hoses, and, in accordance with a specific task, thermostat, mass-exchange cells, and mixers.
The sample preparation unit can be controlled either from an external PC or from a processor in the detector device. In a stand-alone operating mode, the selected reaction sequence can be assigned from a built-in keyboard. A versatile program allows assigning any sequence of operation of electrically controlled system components and wide-range altering the flow rates from 0.02 to 20 ml/min. The instruments are equipped with a 4-20-mA current loop and RS485 computer interface for customized report output and remote computer-aided control. Concentration measurement results, up to 1000, are stored in a built-in memory and are displayed, in milligrams per liter, on a built-in digital LC display, or printed out. If concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons exceeds a permissible level, the alarm mode is activated and a final-control mechanism can be automatically switched off by a command from the flow analyzer.
Being provided for a remote stand-alone operation, the FLUORAT®-A series automatic analyzers are furnished with a self-diagnostics function, are failure-proof, and need simple maintenace once a month, namely, changing a hexane solvent and testing the device.
